Favorite November Books for Kids
One of the best parts of loving to read books, is having kids to share that with. I've loved reading for as long as I can remember. I remember library trips at five years old, thumbing through titles while my mom skimmed her section. It was a peaceful retreat, a place that made me feel like I had it all to myself. Being one of four kids, that can be a rare treat!
It's taken me awhile to get back to regular library visits and reading for myself in every spare minute I can find. Over the last few years, my daughter and I have enjoyed picking out new favorites in the Children's Books section of our local library. Furthermore, I love mixing her favorites (Fancy Nancy, Amelia Badelia, Olivia, Bearenstein Bears, and Madeline to name a few) along with some classics, and seasonal or holiday appropriate books.
I've always loved sharing the history, or meaning, of holidays or the excitement of new seasons with my kids. I feel it's rather important to educate them in something we celebrate every year. Knowing is half the fun! It's helpful that there are so many amazing children's authors that write and illustrate beautiful books to educate our babies!
